David Lipscomb, W. H. Dodd, and J. R. Ward purchased property on South Spruce Street in 1893 for the growing school. The larger campus with buildings on 2 ¼ acres provided adequate space for growth-- more classrooms, offices, and housing for both faculty and students. The school remained at this location through the 1902-03 session.
